The story in brief

The MSME ministry announced the agreement on 5 November to connect eligible tribal artisans already registered under PM Vishwakarma with TRIFED’s shops and online marketplace. The ministry will identify potential sellers and refer them for onboarding and capacity building, rather than automatically enrolling every scheme participant.1 The proposed Tribes India–PM Vishwakarma Collection would showcase participating sellers’ products. The collaboration covers product-based trades such as pottery, carpentry and weaving, and includes support for quality, packaging, photography and cataloguing for identified sellers.1 Display and sale remain subject to sellers’ consent, applicable TRIFED policies and onboarding conditions.1

Context: This offers a proposed route to buyers, without guaranteeing selection, orders or income.
