The story in brief

At New Delhi, Delhi Junction and Anand Vihar Terminal, departmental booking is restricted from 3–15 November 2026; all parcel loading and unloading is restricted from 5–15 November. Anand Vihar’s washing and stabling lines remain exempt for loading and unloading during the period.1 At Hazrat Nizamuddin, the booking and loading restrictions run from 5–8 November, while its VP siding remains exempt. Northern Railway cites expected Diwali and Chhath passenger crowds. These are continuing, station-specific arrangements, not a nationwide stop on parcel traffic.1 Passengers may carry personal luggage only in passenger coaches; bookings for registered newspapers and magazines remain allowed.1

Context: Before sending a parcel through these stations, check the relevant booking office for dates and applicable exceptions.
