The story in brief

Environment Ministry: The Environment Ministry’s October 31 release also counts 220 good-to-moderate air-quality days during January–October 2026, compared with 200 in the same period of 2025. These are city-level historical summaries.1 Environment Ministry: The same report records 84 poor-to-severe-plus days in January–October 2026. An improved average therefore does not mean that every day or every neighbourhood had the same air quality.1

Context: Delhi residents should distinguish a monthly comparison from a current monitoring-station reading. The report does not forecast November conditions or certify that the air is safe for every person; use updated official local information when planning outdoor activity.
