The story in brief

Finance Ministry: The October 30 release lists At the Top, Burj Khalifa and Resorts World Sentosa. Singapore attractions include Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark.1 The facility follows partnerships announced on July 29 for the UAE and September 9 for Singapore. The update concerns online purchases at the named destinations, rather than a newly announced nationwide merchant-acceptance rule.1

Context: Travellers can plan eligible purchases using familiar payment apps, but should not assume that every overseas merchant or booking site accepts UPI. The release does not state checkout charges, exchange rates or refund conditions.

What to do

  1. Use the attraction’s official booking site and check its available payment option, total cost and refund terms before paying.
